After months of late nights, too many cups of coffee, and countless rewrites, I’m excited (and honestly a bit nervous) to announce that my book — Automating Defense: How AI Is Transforming Cybersecurity and IT Operations — is finally published and available to the public.
This project was born from my real-world experience in IT infrastructure and security. I’ve spent years working on networks, servers, and security platforms, and during that time I saw firsthand how AI in cybersecurity and automation in IT operations started to shift from hype to reality. The book captures those lessons, both technical and human, with the hope of sparking new conversations about where we’re heading as an industry.
What You’ll Find Inside
The book isn’t just theory — it’s practical, direct, and sometimes raw. Here’s a taste of the topics:
- How AI is changing incident response and modern cyber defense.
- The opportunities and limitations of automation in IT operations.
- Lessons from integrating EDR, PAM, orchestration tools, and cloud platforms.
- The human side: the fears, challenges, and excitement of working in a field that evolves faster than most of us can keep up.
Why I Wrote It
I didn’t want another textbook or compliance guide. My goal was to create something that feels like sitting down with a colleague who’s been through the same war stories: real discussions about what works, what fails, and what’s coming next in AI-driven cybersecurity.
Where to Get It
The book is available now on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback editions.
Final Thoughts
This is more than just a publication for me — it’s a milestone. My hope is that it helps IT and security professionals rethink how we approach AI and automation in cyber defense, and maybe give you a couple of “aha!” moments for your own journey.
If you read it, I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or even disagreements — because that’s where growth really happens. Let’s keep the conversation going.
